Q1: What is an ECAS award and why should I apply?
An Entia Certificate in Advanced Studies award is a benchmark of quality that enables the veterinary profession to identify a level of educational activities that are relevant to their Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Anyone working within the veterinary sector can look for the Entia logo and be assured of a set standard of CPD relevant activity.
Q2. What is the Entia logo?
The Entia logo is an identifiable symbol of quality assurance that associates activities with the professionalism, expertise and commitment adhering to the standards set by Entia. The Entia logo can be used on marketing and promotional materials produced for an accredited activity only.
Q3. All our courses are delivered online. Are we still able to apply for Entia Accreditation?
Courses that are delivered in a variety of formats may be suitable for Accreditation as long as they meet the Entia criteria for Accreditation highlighted on the application form. These include:
- Face-to-face training: i.e. classroom/workshops/practical sessions
- Conferences / Seminars / Congress
- E-learning/Online
Q4. How far in advance of the course(s) being held should I submit the application form?
Applications should be submitted no later than six weeks in advance of the date the CPD activity is run. The period of accreditation will start from the date it is approved by an Entia assessor, not from the date the first CPD activity is held.
Q5. Do I have to submit all the information for my course(s) with the initial application form or is a brief outline acceptable?
You must provide full details on application. Applications that do not have all the requested information will be returned not assessed.
Q6. How do I apply for accreditation?
The next step is to complete the Entia application form and submit it together with the signed Agreement, and all relevant supporting documentation to The Accreditation Department, Entia Ltd, Woburn House, Yelverton, Devon PL20 6BS
The Accreditation fee must be submitted along with the application form by either by Cheque payable to Entia Ltd or by BACS.If payment is not received with your completed application, this will delay the processing times for Accreditation. Your application will not be sent to the Assessor Panel for Accreditation review until the Accreditation fee has been received.

Q7. Can I make payment by credit card?
Currently we do not accept payment by credit card.
Q8. On successful approval of my application for accreditation will Entia will promote my accredited course on their website?
All Entia Accredited CPD providers will be able to advertise their courses with our logo and will be listed on the Entia website, joining a growing network of successful CPD provider
Q9. Does Entia provide a certificate of accreditation should my application be successful?
Yes, you will be sent a certificate of accreditation valid for the duration of the course or one year, whichever is applicable.
Q10. What happens if I want to make changes to the Entia accredited course part way through its duration?
If you make any significant changes or alterations to the content of your already accredited course(s) you must inform the Entia Accreditation immediately. Failure to do so may make your accreditation null and void.
